OUR MISSION
To provide children in foster and kinship care with clothing and other basic needs
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR A CHILD IN FOSTER CARE
Every day in Texas, a child suffering from abuse, neglect, or abandonment is introduced to the foster care system. Child Protective Services (CPS) personnel face the heart-wrenching task of removing children from unsafe environments—often under chaotic and urgent circumstances.
In many cases, these children come from situations where basic needs, such as personal hygiene and clean clothing, have been neglected. Some situations are so dire that CPS workers must scramble to find suitable clothing just to ensure the child can be safely transported to a new location.
At For Families Like Us, we understand the challenges these children and the families who care for them face. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing free clothing, shoes, and supplies to foster children, ensuring they have the essentials they need during these critical transitions.
Together, we can restore dignity, hope, and a sense of normalcy for children in foster care.
